The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the exam city details for the AFCAT 01/2026 Batch (for the January 2027 course). This is important information for candidates appearing in the AFCAT exam, so they can plan their travel and logistics ahead of time.

Flying
  •  10+2 with Physics and Mathematics (minimum 50% marks) AND
  •  Graduation (3-year degree) in any discipline with minimum 60% marks OR
  •  BE/B.Tech (4-year course) with minimum 60% marks OR
  •  Cleared Sections A & B of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks AND
  • Physics & Maths must have been studied at 10+2 level. 
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch  10+2 with Physics and Mathematics (minimum 50% marks) AND
BE/B.Tech or equivalent four-year engineering degree in a relevant discipline (minimum 60% marks), OR.  Cleared Sections A & B of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India)/Aeronautical Society with minimum 60% marks.

These roles include technical management and engineering duties within IAF operations. 
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches Administration & Logistics
Graduation in any discipline (minimum 60% marks) from a recognized university OR
Cleared Sections A & B of Associate Membership (Engineering/Aeronautical Society) with minimum 60%. 
Administration & Logistics Graduation in any discipline (minimum 60% marks) from a recognized university OR
Cleared Sections A & B of Associate Membership (Engineering/Aeronautical Society) with minimum 60%. 
Accounts Branch Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, BBA/BMS with Finance specialization, OR
Qualified CA/CMA/CS/CFA with minimum 60% marks or equivalent. 
Education Branch Graduation (minimum 60% marks) AND a Post-Graduate Degree (minimum 50% marks) in any discipline.
Integrated degrees with PG included are also acceptable if recognized. 
Meteorology 10+2 passed PLUS
B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics (minimum 60%) OR
Engineering degree (minimum 60%) in a relevant field.
NCC Special Entry (For Flying Branch Only) Candidates holding the NCC Air Wing Senior Division “C” Certificate can apply for the Flying Branch (both men and women).
The age and educational criteria largely follow the Flying Branch rules, with CPL holders having the same age relaxation.

  • Visit the official AFCAT portal.
  • Go to the section for AFCAT 01/2026 notifications
  • Find and open the “Exam City Details” or “Exam City Intimation Slip.”
  • Log in with your Registration Number and Date of Birth
  • Submit the details to see your exam city.
  • Download or print your city information slip for future use
